Chainsaw Race 2018 – Results

Congratulations to Simon Lillywhite

1st Place went to Simon Lillywhite with a time of 10.28 seconds winning the STIHL Chainsaw and his name on the trophy.

2nd Place went to Eddie Wood with a time of 10.47seconds.

3rd Place went to Wayne Woolgar with a time of 10.53seconds.

Chainsaw Race Rules

The event is open to men and women over the age of 18 years and the Entry Fee is £5.00 payable on the day. COMPETITORS HAVE TO SIGN A DISCLAIMER BEFORE STARTING THE EVENT.

In order to enter the Chainsaw Race, you must be fully trained or be able to display adequate experience and competence using a chainsaw. A fully trained chainsaw user will be supervising the competition, and will stop the participation of any competitors who he/she does not have confidence in.

This is a TIMED EVENT which starts with saws running on the sound of the horn and finishes when the saw has completed the last cut. THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.

  1. A distance of 6 ins is marked on the timber in which 3 full slices are cut with no run off and the unbroken line marker has to still be visible right around the timber at the finish.
  2. There is no limit to the size of the Saw but it has to be operated by 1 person only.
  3. Competitors are required to supply and wear all necessary safety clothing.
  4. COMPETITORS ARE  NOT ALLOWED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
